In the bigger ports like Zadar and Biograd, the water is not as clear. Diving is popular along the coastline and I would say the waters are probably some of the most pristine here as in any other part of Europe.

Jack – Actually, I did notice the same resemblance, but only when sleeping. You may well be right about Blogger, for it has the same consistency now as a piece of processed cheese just before it hits the cheeseburger.

AHD – I wonder if your Blogger problems suddenly went away, like they did with mine. I pinch myself often to remind myself just how lucky I am. I worked very hard for many years at a stressful job that I loved and to be able to take early retirement and do so much travelling is wonderful.

mq01 – Thanks for the tips. Since then, for a reason that I cannot explain, everything seems to be working fine again.

Croatia is not yet a full member of the EU. Croatia applied to join in 2003 and has been granted candidate country status, but its neighbour Slovenia objected due to border issues remaining between those two countries. Those issues which relate to exactly where the border is, are expected to be resolved soon, but until they are, Slovenia may then still keep its border control points for people wishing to enter / leave Croatia. Being a member of the EU doesn’t necessarily mean there will be no border controls between member countries. Take the UK for instance. If you travel on a ship to the UK from France for example, you need to show your passport to get into the UK.

Bob – That Croatian coastline really is stunning and the pictures don’t do it justice. There are islands off mainland Croatia for many hundreds of miles like those in the pictures above. I had exactly the same problems that you describe regarding being signed in or out of my blog, but then suddenly, about a day and a half ago, the problems ceased. Flying over here to deliver your comments personally was a great idea!

Jean – Thank you for following my various trips and my blog and for your kind words. It is nice when somebody who has been doing that makes a comment for the first time, as I often wonder if there are people out there in blogland that read my stuff but don’t comment. Clearly, the problems with being sign in or out were not limited to me as a few have said they suffer the same problem. Luckily for me, the problem has gone away, at least for now....Gary Francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05163380727432573785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505434595026982929.post-15644812806631800022011-06-01T17:38:41.414+01:002011-06-01T17:38:41.414+01:00YES, many of us are having blogger trouble. check ...YES, many of us are having blogger trouble. check your google accts. mine was resolved once i noticed that my google/blogger acct had wrongly updated my acct profile with my gmail acct as my primary email address. its there that i found a selection to allow multi email address. once i updated all email addresses and turned multiple sign-in's on, its worked ok.

https://www.google.com/accounts/b/0/ManageAccount

azhd mentioned his started working once he turned enabled 3rd party cookies.mq01https://www.blogger.com/profile/11742343758057005313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505434595026982929.post-39001350967900610012011-06-01T04:44:08.483+01:002011-06-01T04:44:08.483+01:00Gary, today for the first time in a while it appea...Gary, today for the first time in a while it appears I am logged in, so I am trying to comment.

Your latest ride is amazing and the sights are outstanding.
