When I started this blog, I gave it a very specific name to reflect the tour of the USA I was about to undertake. Now that that trip is well and truly over, the title long longer fits, so it is time for a change.
Makes sense. My blog is called 'the motorcycle project'- the project being learning to ride. Well, I learned. I rode my own H-D to Sturgis this year. Now I'm stuck with the blog title.
And the only thing worse than flies in your teeth is a grasshopper flying inside your helmet at 80mph. Been there!
No Name - As far as I can tell, in Blogger, you can change the name of your blog and indeed I have done that. But it looks like the links from other blogs are currently retaining the old name.
Richard - I would have thought somehow the Blogger system would have automatically renamed it, but you are correct, the link needs to be manually renamed. I will write a post soon about how to do that.
Circle Blue - I just saw that the new name is on your Moto-Blog list. Thanks!
Sonja - I am glad you like the new name. I didn't know how to chance the name of a blog in the links in the list of blogs I read. Knowing that you changed the name of yours, I used yours as a test and worked out how to rename any blog I point to in the list of blogs I read. So thanks, without you knowing it, your blog helped me to understand how to do this!
Trobairitz - Clever you! I see you have renamed it already. Thanks!
Roger - Sorry about that. It's not like me to be creative, so that was a one-off bit of inspiration!
Canajun – June bugs sound horrible. I thought about using “Flies in my Teeth” but decided that sounded a bit to inward-looking and that many others would relate to the name if I used “your” instead.
bluekat – I am glad you like it. Don’t try to figure it out for too long as I have already written a post that explains how to do it. It will be posted soon!
ROFLOL!! I love it!

Bob - it then becomes 'Flies in your Throat'.
Yep, anyone with a link to your blog needs to manually edit the name. I always thought that bugs were one of the benefits of a face shield.
ReplyDeleteYour teeth are flying on my blog list. Change the name, but keep the curiosity and joy.
ReplyDeleteMade my day. Flies in your Teeth and rightly so for thee who ride with beanie buckets. I love it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Now I just need to figure out how to edit the name on my blog links.
ReplyDeleteBugger.......wish I had come up with that!

ReplyDeleteupdated my link. now you just need to buy the domain name and make that the new url. the old one will still work too...
ReplyDeleteI like it! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteChris – I just bought the domain name. In time, I will try to work out how to use it. LOL
ReplyDeleteRex – Thanks and I will... !
Jimbo – Cheers, my friend!
Love it! Very discriptive of a good motorcycle ride! hahaha!
ReplyDeleteEve – Its simple, with a meaning that only bikers will probably understand and that is exactly why I chose it.
ReplyDeleteNo name - there is one thing worse then grasshopper in your helmet it's bee sting in the neck at 90mph. Oh the humanity............
ReplyDeleteFlies are better than June bugs which are really juicy and messy - yuch.
ReplyDeleteI like the new name, but shouldn't it be "Flies in my teeth"?
Ha-ha - Great name! :)

Chillertek – No doubt!
