Lol - very funny! The 2 chicks crying together is my favorite part. I guess I won't be taking my Honda to Sturgis anytime soon....apparently I'm not a real biker. Now it would have been funnier if try said they cold only get a scooter - a 50cc scooter.
Rex – I suspect they would speak more highly of a Victory than a Gold Wing.
Trobairitz – If you go to Sturgis, I would pay a visit to someone that rents Harley’s first. Otherwise, you might feel like someone wearing a fur coat to a Greenpeace convention.
Dar – I agree about the two chicks – very funny. Actually, I think you could take your Honda to Sturgis, as it wouldn’t look too out of place. It’s just some Honda models wouldn’t go down too well and the Gold Wing has to be classed as one of them.
Sonja – I totally understand. You were one of the people that my early apology was aimed at.
Oz – My Harley owning friends also hurt after watching it. It cracks them up everytime! You really have to own a Harley to fully appreciate this. Having been to Sturgis makes it even funnier.
Canajun – I too have seen quite a few of these, some funny, others not. This one had my laughing though.
This blog was originally started to record a five month, 21000 mile tour of the US on my Harley-Davidson. I continue to use this blog to record my own motorcycling adventures, wherever they may be, along with my thoughts and opinions about motorcycling generally.
Having devoted most of my adult life to being a ‘company man’, the transition to the next phase of my life away from the construction industry was always going to include some challenges. Planning and then making my dream trip to explore America on my Harley-Davidson proved to be the ideal vehicle for clearing my mind of old ways of thinking and being. I rode 21,475 miles, in 27 US states in four-and-a-half months.
My motorcycling trips have continued, with journeys across much of Europe, New Zealand, North Africa and Cuba.
A few years ago, I set up and now run Tour1, which takes riders on Harley-Davidson Authorised tours across Europe. See www.tour1.co.uk.
I live just north of London in the UK.
A 2006 Road King called 'The Leading Ladies' due to the portraits of ten 1940's and 1950's actresses painted on the bike. This is the motorcycle I use to ride through America on.
My Custom Harley 'Tradewinds'
Called 'Tradewinds' this bike has a H-D engine but almost everything else is custom, made specifically for the bike.
My Custom Harley 'Amelia'
Built in 2012, this is a seventies style traditional chopper, with considerable engraving and a tremendous paint scheme

US Tour - My Favourites Places I Went To....
It is difficult to choose, but here is my list of the highlights of my US tour, in the order I saw them in....
31. Back roads and small towns anywhere.
32. Meeting really nice people, in just about all of the places I have been.
33. The camaraderie of bikers. Everywhere, US.

I especially liked the part where the 2 women are together, one's crying and the other one says, "it's okay, we will find real bikers".
I wonder what he would say about my Victory.
Too funny, thanks for sharing Gary.
That is awesome. I don't speak German so there is no issue there.
I don't ride a BMW, does that mean I would get beat up at Sturgis?
Thanks for sharing that. It was great

It's a bit awkward if not irritating when you actually understand what is being said. Hence I watched it with the sound turned down. Weird but funny.
My wife and I are in tears - laughing! I think she strained a muscle in her side.
This clip has been overdone with spoofs, but this one had me laughing. Well done. And thanks for sharing.

Understanding German makes it difficult to concentrate on the really funny subtitles...
Axel - I found it funny as well, but can imagine it to be strange if listening in German.
Does anyone know what movie this clip is from?
The movie is called "Downfall"
