A handful of us were off-road virgins.
This video is a group of me and my friends having a go for the first time - it was terrific fun!
Although muddy and slippery, the trails were relatively easy and just what us novices needed.
Many thanks to Fred and Peter Woolcott of Off the Kerb Trail Riding, in Dorking, Surrey. We will certainly be going back! There are very few places to ride off-road in the UK, so finding this one was a real bonus.
I did end up with a few sore muscles for a few days, but that was a small price to pay.

Awesome video Gary - that must have taken quite a while to edit, so thank you for doing that.
So many mud puddles, have you guys been having a lot of rain? I didn't hear any whooping in your helmet as you were going through them though.
Nice touch with the Benny Hill music. Although I expected you to be chasing a hot blonde in a tight nurses uniform, wink wink, nudge nudge. :-)
Looks like a fabulous way to spend the day and get a little dirty too.
Nice segue opening shot, is HOnda sponsoring you these day? :)
You looked so relaxed in that selfie portion.
I am curious though, that field where the training was done....a farmer's field?
Those muddy trails would have been a blast on the URAL, expecially the puddles!
As to dropping one's bike, the chances...as they say....increase exponentially the more folks are around to see it!
Interesting and amusing use of sepia and Benny Hill to transition from street to dirt. Basically, its frantic on the street and relaxing on the dirt? :)
I am assuming you stopped a lot to keep the lens clean? The smiles on everyone's faces at the end says it all.
Great video Gary - makes me want to buy another dirt bike.... and dig out my Benny Hill DVDs. :)
I really enjoyed the video, thank you for editing and posting it. It looked like a blast!
Gary - another excellent video ... and some serious dirt! Looks like you all had fun. Not really your first time slinging mud, was it?
Trobairitz - Thanks. It did take quite some time to edit, but I was pleased with the results. We have had more rain than Noah saw on an optimistic day. A hot blonde in a nurses uniform would have been nice, but we were having enough fun anyway. We got dirty enough without her.
Dom - yes, the training was done in a farmers field. I guess the guys just rent it when they need it. You would have loved the trails on you Ural. I only needed to clean the lens a couple of times. I did forget to take a waterproof back and at one point poured muddy water out of the camera housing case. I was amazed the camera kept working. The Benny Hill bit was fun, but I would say the off-road bits were more frantic than on-road as there is much more to think about.
Canajun -Benny Hill and dirt bikes. Who'd have thought they make a good combination?
Richard - it really was a blast.
V Star Lady - yes, my very first time on dirt. But, it won't be my last!
