Introducing the Blighty Boys.
One of the things that really helped me on my long ride across the USA a few years ago was the number of people that read my blog. Your words of encouragement, support and ideas were a constant companion as I made my way across America.
A few weeks ago I met a couple of guys, John and Jon, who are about to set out on a 20,000 mile ride across the USA. They are also from the UK and start their ride in early April and their route is set out on the map below. It sounds like a great trip which starts in Florida, takes in southern-most states, heads west to California, up the west coast and then across the northern states to finish in New York. I would encourage you to follow their adventures as they ride their trip of a lifetime.
If some of you show them as much support as you did to me, I would be delighted. You can find their blog here….. http://blightyboys.blogspot.co.uk/

This is great ! They are coming to Vancouver. Looks like I took nearly the same northern route when I headed East last summer but they are heading West a bit farther south than me. I was in Grand Junction,CO just a day after you last year.
I agree that it makes a difference when you know that others are following along

Our planet is very big Bob, but sometimes it appears small. It would have been good to see you in Colorado. Knowing people are following does make a huge difference. It spurs you on to write about your travels much more often than you otherwise would.
That does look like a great trip though they are missing out on all of the Appalachians.
Thanks for the heads up Gary. Will follow them for sure.
Thanks for the link, Gary. Looks like those guys are taking a bit of a different route than yours. I am looking forward to their ride report.
Hello Blighty Boys ... thanks for the link Gary, I'll be watching them too.
Have them bookmarked on my blog roll Gary. Looks like an epic ride and I'm sure it will be full of adventure.
Cool. Thanks for the heads up and the link. It will be fun to follow along on another cross country adventure.
Too bad the guys decided to skip Colorado and Utah.
Gary,
Looks like a great Four Corners ride. I'll add them to my blog roll and follow along. That's a trip I hope to do someday.
Cheers,
Curt

After looking closer I realized they weren't riding to Maine so it won't be a Four Corners ride...but it still looks like a lot of fun. I've added them to my blog roll!
Cheers,
Curt
They are missing the best State of all, New Hampshire!!! :-) It's only a short ride from New York, and the beauty is breath taking.
Richard – They are missing out on quite a lot, but it is impossible to do it all in one trip. I discovered that big time when I rode around America myself.
Canajun – It looks like a great ride they are planning, so worthwhile following for sure.
Sonja – That’s the beauty of riding in America. Nearly every rider would choose different places they wanted to see and then plan different routes to them.
VStar Lady – You are very welcome.
AHD – An epic ride indeed. I wonder if they will actually ride considerably further than they plan? That often seems to happen on road trips.
Trobairitz – It will be interesting to watch what they get up to.
thehighwayking – I totally agree with you. That was probably my favourite area in America when I did my road trip.
Curt – They are very close to a four corners ride. I wonder if they realize?
Patricia – It is really hard to decide where to go on a trip like this. It is even harder to decide where not to go.
a grand adventure they are embarking upon, hopefully they will plan other journey that will take them thru New England, Maine, NH and especially VT offer some of the most captivating scenery and small town essence. I look forward to hearing of their expedition ~ el
It's not to late to join them!
Radar - I was very tempted.....
