We are now back in Christchurch, at the end of our trip to New Zealand. We fly back to London tomorrow.
We did 5,009 kms / 3,112 miles, on two clockwise loops on both islands, starting and finishing in Christchurch. This is where we went....
The South Island....
Very few people
Beautiful
Mountains and glaciers
Rugged
Twisty roads
Remote
Lots of sheep and cows
The North Island....
More people
Bigger cities
Flatter
Better beaches
More to see and do
Straighter roads
Recommended? Definitely, it is a great country, with great people!

Aww, kind of sorry the trip is over. I have really enjoyed tagging along with you and Jackie. You have convinced me that NZ is a neat place to go. Definitely on my bucket list.

Trobairitz – To be honest, it was too much driving, but as we wanted to see much of both islands, we didn’t have much of a choice.
Geoff – That was the plan. Oops, sorry, that was meant to say that wasn’t the plan!

Bob – Jackie is doing okay. She was back to see a doctor about her foot today. We are fortunate that we are able to travel to nice places.
Canajun – Back home now. Safe and sound. Well, not always sound....
KT Did – Hmmmn. The next adventure is at the end of April, when 12 of us make what is becoming an annual pilgrimage riding to St Tropez, in the South of France. Let’s hope the weather improves by then!
VStar Lady – We did pack it in and really did too much. Jackie’s foot has been resting since we arrived home and is on the mend, thanks.
